My Role

The design and execution of the entire concept. With the creative direction of Adriana Tamayo from Friendly Feral, I concepted characters and environments using Ai as a tool for concepting. I took these concepts and turned them into 3D characters and environments and later animated each piece to create the Bug Eye world. This is a work in progress project, keep checking in to see progress.

Our game follows a magic mushroom through a strange trip across wormholes. As he explores new world he discovers new abilities and portals to even more unique mini worlds. It is a giant escape room with multiple paths but only one way out. Can you help him navigate his way?

Character concepting

Using Midjourney we created a set of standards for all our characters so that each world would have characters with similar characteristics, but unique to each level. One distinct feature of all the characters is the Bug Eye feature. We perfected each one till we reached an ideal outcome to later translate the character into 3D and bring it to life.

Worlds concepting

A similar process was used to concept worlds using Mid Journey. The worlds are micro islands each with their unique rules like needing to find air because it’s under water, or needing to anchor your self because it’s zero gravity. Each one is a puzzle that could lead to a couple of different outcomes depending on the players solving skills. Making each journey unique.
